Leather Alcohol Cleaner
Leather Alcohol Cleaner
Professional alcohol-based cleaner for targeted removal of stubborn contamination on leather, vinyl and PU. Quickly breaks down oils, dye transfer and residues, flashes off without sticky film and leaves the surface clean for subsequent repair or finishing steps.
What It Does
Leather Alcohol Cleaner provides controlled solvent action to lift greasy soils, hand/body oils, dye transfer from textiles and light ink marks*. It leaves minimal residue, helping achieve a uniform, receptive surface for Leather Binder, Fillers, Primer and Colourant.
Use for spot cleaning and finish preparation where a water-only degreaser is insufficient. Always test on a hidden area to check sensitivity and colourfastness.
*Effect on permanent inks varies; complete removal is not guaranteed.
Professional Applications
- Automotive: steering wheels, bolsters, armrests and door panels before refinishing.
- Furniture: high-touch zones with glossy build-up or dye transfer.
- Leather goods: handles/straps and local prep before colour repair.
Compatible Leather Types
Finished/pigmented leather and many coated PU/artificial leather surfaces. Not recommended for suede or nubuck. On aniline/semi-aniline, use with extreme care and test first.
