Professional water-based thickening additive for leather finishing systems. Increases viscosity and tunes rheology without affecting colour clarity, transparency, drying time or inter-coat adhesion when used as directed.
What It Does
Leather Thickening Agent is a functional polyurethane-based additive for water-borne leather systems. It raises viscosity and stabilises flow so coatings level cleanly, edges stay tidy, and vertical panels are less prone to drips or sags — all while preserving transparency and colour accuracy.
The additive does not change drying time of film-forming finishes and does not degrade inter-coat adhesion when used correctly.

- High-gloss finishing: added into Leather Top Coat Gloss to create a super-gloss finish — essential for patent-leather shoe restoration.
- Vertical surfaces: reduce runs and improve edge control on seats, side panels and trim.
- Process tuning: adjust brush/spray workflow where a slightly thicker, more controlled laydown is desired.
Use strictly within recommended ranges and test on a small panel before full application.
