LeTech Leather Binder is a professional water-based strengthening compound designed to restore structural integrity to worn and fatigued leather.

It penetrates deep into weakened fibre layers, consolidating damaged areas and stabilising the surface before filler, primer and colour application. Leather Binder creates a reinforced foundation that significantly improves adhesion and long-term durability of the repair.

This is an essential preparation stage in professional leather restoration systems.

How It Works

Leather Binder penetrates into the fibre structure of damaged leather, binding loose fibres together and restoring cohesion. Once cured, it forms a stable base layer that supports subsequent filler, colour and top coat applications.

Application

Apply in thin, even layers using a sponge or brush.

Allow each layer to dry fully before applying the next.

Warm air can be used to accelerate drying.

After full stabilisation, proceed with:

Light / Heavy Filler → Primer → Colour → Top Coat

• PU and artificial leather

(Not suitable for suede or nubuck.)

How to Use – Step by Step

Surface Prep — Clean and degrease. Remove any weak, flaking finish (scuff/feather the edges of worn zones).
Application — Apply Leather Binder with a sponge or brush in thin, even coats. Avoid creating foam.
Drying — After each coat, dry with warm air at ~40–60 °C until fully set.
Build — Apply multiple coats as needed, fully drying each layer to consolidate fibres.
Proceed with Repair — Once the leather feels tighter and stable, continue with Light/Heavy Filler, then Primer, Colourant and Top Coat.
Testing — Always test on an inconspicuous area to confirm absorption and finish compatibility.
Not for Suede/Nubuck — Use only on smooth finished/pigmented leather (or compatible PU).
