LETECH LEATHER LIQUID DEGREASER

EXPERT LINE — DEEP OIL EXTRACTION & SURFACE DEGREASING

A professional solvent-active liquid degreaser designed to extract embedded oils, body grease and contamination from leather surfaces.

Removes deeply absorbed oil, perspiration, silicone and greasy residues without aggressive stripping — restoring a clean, stable surface ready for repair and refinishing.

Solvent-Active Formula · Deep Oil Extraction · Adhesion-Safe · Fast Evaporation

What It Does

Leather Liquid Degreaser penetrates into the pore structure of leather, dissolving and lifting absorbed oils and greasy contamination that darken and weaken the surface.

The advanced degreasing formula works to:

• dissolve and draw out embedded body oils

• remove grease, perspiration and oily residues

• restore a clean surface prior to repair

• improve bonding performance of primers and colour systems

• reduce risk of peeling and adhesion failure

An essential first step when treating oil-darkened or heavily contaminated leather prior to professional restoration.

Professional Applications

• Automotive: oil-darkened seats, bolsters, steering wheels

• Furniture: headrests, armrests, high-contact areas

• Leather goods: jackets, bags, footwear with grease buildup

• Equestrian equipment exposed to sweat and oils

Compatible Leather Types

Suitable for:

• Finished / pigmented leather

• Most sealed smooth leathers

• PU / artificial leather (test first)

Professional Leather Degreaser for Oil & Grease Removal

LeTech Leather Degreaser is a professional absorbent gel designed to remove deep oil stains, body oils, grease, sweat, and contamination from leather before recoloring and restoration. Darkened steering wheels, shiny headrests, greasy jacket collars, and sticky leather surfaces are all caused by oil saturation inside the leather structure — not just on the surface. This product extracts embedded oils from within the fibers, preparing the leather for high-quality repair and refinishing.

Formulated with Vibrant Plus+ technology, this thick extraction gel penetrates the leather grain, absorbs contamination, and transforms into a powder as it dries — physically pulling grease to the surface. It acts as a visual indicator: white on clean areas, yellow to dark brown where oil has been successfully removed.

What This Leather Degreaser Does

Unlike surface cleaners, this professional leather degreaser targets oil trapped inside the leather structure. Complete oil removal is a critical step before recoloring, coating, or repair. Skipping this stage can lead to poor adhesion, peeling, or premature coating failure.

• Removes body oils (sebum) from steering wheels and armrests
• Extracts grease from furniture headrests and cushions
• Eliminates oil stains from food and air freshener spills
• Reduces ink transfer and ballpoint pen marks
• Prevents coating failure during leather recoloring

Professional Applications

• Automotive Interiors: Darkened steering wheels, gear shifters, seats, and armrests
• Furniture Restoration: Oil-saturated sofa headrests and hand-contact areas
• Leather Apparel: Greasy jacket collars and cuffs
• Luxury Leather Goods: Handbag handles, footwear, equestrian items
• Marine & Aviation Interiors: High-contact leather surfaces

Why Oil Removal Is Critical Before Recoloring

Oil contamination blocks adhesion. If grease remains inside the leather, new dye or coating will not properly bond. LeTech Leather Degreaser improves adhesion performance by ensuring the leather structure is fully decontaminated before refinishing. This significantly increases durability and longevity of restoration work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Leather Degreaser remove body oil from leather?

Yes. LeTech Leather Degreaser is specifically designed to extract body oils (sebum), sweat, and grease from deep within the leather structure. It removes contamination that regular surface cleaners cannot reach.

Is this product necessary before leather recoloring?

Absolutely. Oil trapped inside leather prevents proper adhesion of dyes and coatings. Degreasing is an essential preparation step to ensure long-lasting restoration results.

Can it remove dark shiny areas on steering wheels?

Yes. Darkened and shiny steering wheels are typically caused by oil saturation from hands. This product extracts embedded grease and prepares the surface for refinishing.

Does it remove ink stains from leather?

It can help reduce ballpoint pen marks and certain dye transfers, especially when used as part of a professional restoration process.

How many applications are required?

Severely oil-contaminated leather may require multiple applications. Repeat the process until the dried product remains white, indicating full oil extraction.

Is it safe for all types of leather?

Compatible with aniline, semi-aniline, pigmented, pull-up, and antique finished leather. Not recommended for bi-cast leather.

Why does the product change color while drying?

The color change is a visual indicator. Yellow or brown discoloration shows that oil and grease have been successfully absorbed from the leather.
