What It Does

Leather Binder consolidates worn leather by saturating and binding the inner fibre structure, making weak areas tougher and less prone to tearing. Use it to stabilise surfaces prior to applying repair compounds and colour systems, or as a standalone solution for minor wear.

Apply in thin, even layers with a sponge or brush; avoid excessive foaming. Dry each layer with warm air at approximately 40–60 °C before applying the next one for optimum consolidation.

Pre-repair consolidation: strengthen frayed, thinned leather before using Light/Heavy Fillers.
Minor wear treatment: reduce fibre fuzz and restore surface integrity on edges and bolster areas.

Compatible Leather Types

Intended for smooth finished/pigmented leather and many coated PU/artificial leather surfaces used in automotive, furniture and leather goods. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.

Not suitable for suede or nubuck.

How to Use – Step by Step

Surface Prep — Clean and degrease. Remove any weak, flaking finish (scuff/feather the edges of worn zones).
Application — Apply Leather Binder with a sponge or brush in thin, even coats. Avoid creating foam.
Drying — After each coat, dry with warm air at ~40–60 °C until fully set.
Build — Apply multiple coats as needed, fully drying each layer to consolidate fibres.
Proceed with Repair — Once the leather feels tighter and stable, continue with Light/Heavy Filler, then Primer, Colourant and Top Coat.
Testing — Always test on an inconspicuous area to confirm absorption and finish compatibility.
Not for Suede/Nubuck — Use only on smooth finished/pigmented leather (or compatible PU).
